Leeds City Council Primary Literacy Conference and Exhibition 2012 8.15am-4.00pm

The excellent facilities of the Headingley Experience, situated at the world renowned Headingley Stadium in Leeds, have been chosen this year by the Leeds City Council School Improvement Team to host their 2012 Primary Literacy and Mathematics Conferences and Exhibitions.
The Literacy conference will be a full one-day event with Sue McGonigle as keynote speaker and a range of workshops on a variety of issues from Early Years to KS2. Sue is Senior Adviser at The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE), Co Director of CLPE's highly successful national Power of Reading Project and has over twenty years' teaching experience in inner London primary schools as an English subject leader and Deputy Head. She will be delivering a practical extended workshop drawing on the project which all delegates will be asked to attend.

Delegates are requested to register using the register button to the right of this page, to select two workshop choices from those given and provide their payroll number. Workshops will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and, in the event of a workshop being full, delegates will be asked to choose alternatives. The delegate cost for this Conference is £195 for SLA schools and £225 for non SLA schools and includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day. A 50% discount is available for additional delegates registering at the same time as the first and from the same school. Schools will be invoiced direct from Leeds City Council following registration on this site.
